Shaila was initiated into Hindusthani Classical Music Vocal at the age of eight. She has learnt music under the guidance of maestroes of Gwalior,Kirana,Agra Gharanas.

Shaila's presentation of khayal gayaki is brilliant.She involves in raag,bandish and lay,tal and presents ornamental redition.Her creative approach towards applications of swaras for bols is autentic.Shaila's rendition appeals her audience.

She has cultured her sweet,flexible voice andrenders in almost three saptaks,when she emphasises raag.Shaila's meend work and khatkas in her rendition is mind blowing.

Shaila has secured state rank in proficiency grade Hindusthani classical music examination , second rank in Sangeeth Visharad exaamination of Akhil Bharath Gandharva Maha Vidyalay Mandal .She excels in Devotional Music and is a graded artist of AIR.Her music programmes are telescated from Doordarshan Bangalore. and Udaya T.V.
She has performed recently in ISCKON.
